A visa is a document that allows a person to enter a country that can be obtained at an embassy where the country has a foreign consulate or embassy. A visa is a proof of ‘can visit’ that is given to residents of a country if they enter the territory of another country which requires an entry permit. This can be in the form of a visa sticker that can be submitted at the embassy or consulate of the country you are visiting or in the form of a stamp on a passport in a certain country. A visa is an official document required to enter the destination country within a certain period of time. The original visa which is usually stamped on the recipient’s passport is very necessary if someone wants to visit a certain country.

KITAS (Limited Stay Permit Card) is a permit document that can be used by foreign nationals to live temporarily in Indonesian territory. Initially, this document was called the KIMS (Temporary Resident Permit Card). The validity period of this card is 1-2 years and must be extended if you wish to continue using it.
